Rita contacted Event Affairs because she wanted to do something very special to celebrate her 70th birthday, and she needed a private event planner that could translate her wishes into reality.
A Mad Hatter’s Transformation: Rita’s High Tea
The planning started with a formal, sit-down lunch for 120 guests. The theme was a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. However, as the event drew closer, Rita decided she wanted a more relaxed, less formal feel. We responded with a proposal for an abundant high tea. Serving both sweet and savoury treats throughout the afternoon, we also offered bubbly and wine for those who preferred a different kind of refreshment.
Rita’s love for flowers was central to the event. Her garden, bordered by countless white roses, shows her passion. Florals were very important to her, a detail we made sure to honour.
To welcome guests, we arranged for a Grand Piano and a Jazz Trio. The music set a beautiful, relaxed tone. The afternoon was filled with cake, tea, bubbly, laughter, and special speeches. Everyone dressed up for the occasion. The birthday girl felt very special and loved.
