Every year DRA Global attends the annual Mining Indaba in Cape Town. During this three-day event, the marketing team and execs invite their guests to their offices, in the CBD, to discuss business and unwind.

DRA Global’s brief was to provide a unique space, away from the conference at the CTICC, to meet with potential clients. The environment was to be inviting, so as to encourage face to face engagement. We were given free rein to transform their offices and boardrooms for this corporate event.

Guests were spoilt with the most exquisite views of Lion’s Head, the Harbour and the City of Cape Town from their 21st-floor office. The boardrooms were stripped of their customary furniture and transformed into a slow lounge and bar.

The furniture is corporate but trendy and sleek. We used a grey and black pallet to integrate beautifully with a touch of wood from the coffee and side tables. Tasteful floral arrangements were added to bring a softer feel while completing the overall look.

Guests were treated to drinks and delectable snacks while visiting DRA Global. Once the business has been attended to, guests soak up the late afternoon sunshine while enjoying casual conversation and drinks from the bar.

Every year, DRA Global hosts a networking breakfast event as part of the Mining Indaba. Shimmy Beach Club, with its views of the harbor and its breathtaking backdrop of Cape Town’s iconic Table Mountain, was the venue of choice for this year’s event. To seat one hundred guests, we arranged this sophisticated venue in a cocktail format while working with Shimmy’s look and feel.

Guests were treated to oceanfront dining while networking with like-minded individuals, a truly memorable way to end off this year’s Mining Indaba.

Behind the scenes of planning this event included scheduled lift operating times. The lifts of this 21st floor office are switched for a two hour period over lunch, this meant that we had to ensure all the major items arrived on time for setup.
